Wow Visa gift cards - how are they handling this? : r/Columbus
I signed up in mid-April, and am supposed to get a $300 gift card after 90 days of good standing. But now my account is no longer with Wow. They have no way of knowing if my account is in good standing. I asked Breezeline if they are aware of this promotion and they just said they were transferring me to sales and disconnected.

This is because a hold is put on the card. This is how all credit cards work. If there isn't enough on the card + 20% then it will decline. The restaurant should be able to charge the full amount of the card if the initial charge is low enough to allow the tip. The server shouldn't be holding on to the gift card to use later somewhere else.
