Elves are fairly easy to get to about a 7, maybe an 8 on a budget with a good list, but admittedly runs some pretty pricey staples if you end up wanting to upgrade it later on. Having [ [Krark’s Thumb]] out and still not getting a card draw on [ [Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom]] is probably the funniest thing I've seen in EDH. For a while my favorite deck was my [ [Meren of clan Nel Toth]]. The deck mostly focused on creatures that could self-sacrifice or ones with good enter the battle field effects.

And Godo Helm is the most budget, most brain dead cEDH deck there is. It's literally three cards, you don't need anything else. I love budget deck building. I don't feel cEDH is the place for it, but I try to make many of my budget lists as optimized as possible. Well, you don't necessarily need them... you will, definitively, win more with them.
