My preferred combination of five medium and two small Cadence capsules costs $143. That's not a small price to pay, but it's worth it for me knowing that I'm saving plastic waste, countless trips to Target and endless clutter. Cadence’s Flex System seems to have taken over though, and the originals are quite difficult to find on the website. I presume these will be gradually phased out. The Flex Capsules still have the hexagonal shape, but they come in three different sizes: As you can see, these are much better sizes.

They are small, lightweight, and can surprisingly hold a lot of stuff! While they’re super innovative and quite aesthetically pleasing, they don’t come cheap.

Q: Are Cadence capsules magnetic?

Cadence Capsules come with “tiles”, which are magnetic and can be removed and switched around. So if you change your mind about the labels at a later date, you could order more tiles. I ended up with getting labels for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer and cleanser.

Q: How many colors do cadence capsules come in?

The capsules come in seven colors — I'm partial to Eucalyptus — and you can choose the image or word printed on the removable tile that magnetically attaches to the lid so you know what's inside. Cadence sells its capsules individually, allowing you to create customized bundles combining the sizes, colors and labels you prefer.
