That's not what's happening here. Alliant has been offering two different credit cards for years: (1) a 2% Visa card, and (2) a 2.5% Visa Signature card w/ additional perks & an annual fee. I did have the signature card for about a year before cancelling it and while I didn’t think it was worth the increased annual fee (you need to spend $20k minimum per year in non category spend to break even), I had no complaints about their customer service.

Dropped Alliant over their 2% by points card. I moved to that from the changes they originally made to the original 2.5% offering. These new offering may don’t seem competitive compared to what else is out there. the constant changes should tell everyone to stay far far away from them.
